The TMS's dedicated business intelligence (BI) has been designed to identify all the transport challenges facing shippers.
Transport managers can perform ABC analyses, as well as hierarchical analyses with sub-totals at each level. The TMS provides statistics by unit (weight, pallet), as well as BL lists, tariffs and transport diagrams. When the TMS is installed, 30 pre-configured reports by customer, carrier, region and product are supplied.
Taxes associated with road transport (diesel, customs, etc.) are stored with independent validity dates. The costs of outsourced logistics services, such as docking, picking, handling, depot entry/exit, etc., are also taken into account
An ABC analysis can identify 70% to 80% of issues with a small number of occurrences. For example, it is possible to determine which customers account for 80% of transport costs. A map shows the departments, regions and countries where these issues are located. The tool provides various Transport KPIs such as average weight per delivery, cost per delivery or price per kilometer. These KPIs can be visualized in different formats: ABC analysis presentation, cartography, table, etc.
In the case of transport requiring several successive sections, the TMS algorithms provide a global result per delivery calculated with the appropriate prorata. This is the case, for example, for the two sections of a delivery with traction and redistribution.
The functionalities developed in the TMS transport BI are the fruit of numerous interactions between our developers and transport operators. BEXT MT was a pioneer in the use of interactive maps to illustrate the main transport issues, making budgeting easier thanks to consolidated reporting by product family, region, department and country.
