To meet the new challenges of logistics, from the rise of e-commerce to the management of last-mile deliveries, Gamba andamp; Rota, based in Champagne, is constantly innovating, from the automation of order preparation in its latest-generation 35,000 m2 temperature-controlled warehouses to the use of natural gas (NGV) vehicles for deliveries in Paris. To optimize its receiving, storage, order-picking and e-commerce flows, the family-run business has relied since 2014 on Infflux's BEXT warehouse management solution, which interfaces upstream or downstream with its customers' information systems.
With BEXT and its new exchange protocol, Gamba andamp; Rota plans to speed up and make its retail order preparations more reliable, in view of the growth in its e-commerce business, which is set to rise by 30% in 2020. What's more, the new BEXT version ensures that Gamba andamp; Rota will be able to adapt to growing customer demand for personalized services, such as the creation of boxes, kits, the addition of messages or engraving, according to their customers' desires. This summer, Gamba andamp; Rota interfaced the new version of BEXT with the OptiDock solution for carrier appointment scheduling and dock management, with a view to further automating exchanges.
By 2022, Gamba andamp; Rota, an AEO-certified logistics provider with bonded warehousing and duty-paid and duty-suspended storage authorizations for all alcoholic beverages, intends to optimize and dematerialize the management of compulsory documents relating to the export of wines and spirits, by coupling BEXT, already interfaced with Conex's GAMMaccises tool, with the same publisher's EMCS solution for electronic exchanges with European customs authorities.
